Mount Canobolas

A destination festival for chamber music lovers

Autumn in Orange is renowned for its breathtaking beauty. The streets are ablaze with vibrant, fiery hues as the leaves turn, while early mornings and nights offer crisp air and clear sunshine. It is against this stunning backdrop that the annual Orange Chamber Music Festival unfolds, inviting both visitors and locals to immerse in four days of extraordinary musical performances, signature events and free community events.

In 2027 the Festival will stage more than a dozen events, including featured performances and recitals, countryside excursions, curated dining experiences, a conversation with artists, cocktail gatherings and the new International Gala, showcasing distinguished guest ensembles in a varied performance curated especially by the festival director, Carmen Nieves.

Each concert is carefully curated to reflect on place, collectively showcasing the rich diversity and deep cultural tapestry of the Orange Region.

At the heart of OCMF is a palpable sense of camaraderie and shared anticipation. The Festival is the vision of founders, Festival Director Carmen Nieves and Producer Jay Byrnes, supported by a dedicated committee led by Chair Gillian Serisier, and a small team of passionate ambassadors for Orange’s diverse and vibrant cultural scene.

Catherine, Jane, David and Helen are familiar faces throughout the Festival, welcoming audiences, attending performances, supporting events and working behind the scenes to help create the distinctive atmosphere that has become the hallmark of OCMF.

Over seven years, the Orange Chamber Music Festival has established itself as one of Australia’s most compelling art music festivals, helping position Orange as a cultural destination capable of attracting audiences from across NSW and beyond to experience Arts and Culture in Orange resulting in extended stays.

The 2027 line-up will be announced throughout August and September, and the full artistic program will be released in November 2026 via Limelight Arts Media.
