Based in Brisbane and touring worldwide, the Quartet returns to Orange with Schulhoff's String Quartet no.1, full of urgency and drama, a testament to the eclectic styles and moods of the 1920s and the composer's Czech heritage. Rachmaninov’s Romance from his first, unfinished string quartet brings the lush melodies and yearning harmonies for which the composer is renowned, while Schumann’s piano quintet is a timeless classic of chamber music, beloved by audiences for its exuberant and buoyant appeal.
